The goal of this mixed use housing and performance center in Montpellier, France is to bring comics together to build a community where they can hone their craft, create new material, and perform it for live audiences. The design intention for the facility is a petri dish. A petri dish provides a safe, intimate, enclosed environment for things to percolate.  This kind of environment is needed for both writing comedy and for participating in a comedy show.
