Located adjacent to a rehabilitation hospital, the design intention for this project is to be a catalyst of spirit for prosthetics patients, their families, the people who work there and the surrounding community.  The catalyst concept developed from research into the prosthetics fitting and physical therapy process, which involves many visits to doctors, technicians and therapists throughout a person’s lifetime.  The intent is for the prosthetics center to provide an energizing experience that boosts the spirits of those who spend time there.
